2024 Memorial Day Observance

We will hold our annual Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 27th at 11 AM. You are invited to gather at Sunnydale Elementary School, corner of 156th Street and Des Moines Memorial Drive, 15631 8th Ave S, Burien, 98148. The ceremony will start promptly at 11 AM.

This year Kate Bysheim, former soprano soloist at Northwest Chorale, Seattle Pro Musica and University Unitarian Church will perform the National Anthem. Also, award-winning inspirational singer/songwriter David Harsh will be performing his original song honoring fallen American soldiers. The Burien American Legion Post 134 will form the Honor Guard.

Afterwards, you are invited to a reception. Come in to see some exhibits, have some snacks, and visit with friends. We look forward to seeing you there.
